Hubbell Marine’s new YQ230 Intelligent Y Adapter safely powers a 50A, 125/250V AC boat from two oppositely-phased 30A, 125V AC receptacles dockside. To help prevent the risk of a live plug when not engaged, its 3-pole contactor breaks both hots and neutrals. Environmentally sealed against humidity, fog, and rain, this adapter has a UV-resistant, high-impact housing, the company says. The adapter has a safety indicator light that designates secure operation, while cord clamps help prevent strain on the terminals. |
