Dean & Reddyhoff order UK’s largest-ever marina forklift
The marina forklift will be used to service a new undercover dry stack storage facility at the marina. Portland Marina will be part of the venue for the Sailing Events of the London 2012 Olympic & Paralympic Games. It will be the largest single marina constructed in the UK in 15 years. The dry stack facility will offer secure dry storage for around 170 powerboats, in addition to the 600 berths in the marine itself. Delivery of the truck is expected in September 2008, in time for it to be used for winter lift-out and storage ashore at Portland during the upcoming winter. |

Portland, England—Dean & Reddyhoff placed an order for the largest Neptune Series marina forklift ever imported into the UK, for use at the new Portland Marine in Dorset. Manufactured by U.S.-based Hoist Liftruck, the Neptune Series M270 marina forklift will be capable of lifting boats in excess of 42 feet and weighing up to 27,000 pounds. It will also be able to stack boats to a height of 54 feet and with a negative lift to 14 feet.
