Rockhold Creek Marina Sold to Owner of Herrington Harbor

Rockhold Creek Marina (RCM) in Deale, Maryland, was sold to Hamilton Chaney, owner of Herrington Harbor.

Simply Marinas, a national marine brokerage firm, represented both sides in the sale and facilitated the lease of the marina. Dominic S. Nicosia, president of Galahad Marine, will take over management of the property. The location was strategic to Galahad for their boat sales operations and expansion, which includes the Monterey, Sailfish, Fountain, Donzi, and Baja brands. RCM has charter fishing boats and a boatyard. The facility was one of the early marinas to be certified as a Maryland Clean Marina and is a supporter of local non-profit organizations.

Previous owner of RCM, Captain Jon Sheller, will concentrate on his marine surveying and marina management consulting business in the Maryland, Virginia and Washington DC and his consultant work for Simply Marinas in these areas.

Hamilton Chaney, owner of Herrington Harbor North and South, acquired RCM due to its proximity and synergies with its current operations in Deale.
