AIS Workshops to Be Held in California
Published on March 4, 2019The California State Parks Division of Boating and Waterways in coordination with the California Coastal Commission, California Department of Fish and Wildlife, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, and the Smithsonian Environmental Research Center are hosting workshops on preventing the spread of aquatic invasive species (AIS). The free workshops will educate the public on how to recognize AIS and how to prevent it from spreading through inspection and cleaning of equipment and watercraft.
The workshops will be held in these locations:
- Yolo, March 27, 8:45 a.m. to 2:45 p.m., 45211 County Rd 32B (Chiles Rd) Davis;
- Alameda, April 30, 8:45 a.m. – 2:45 p.m., Aeolian Yacht Club, 980 Fernside Blvd, Alameda;
- Pacific Grove, Monterey, May 7, 8:45 a.m. – 2:45 p.m., Mott Training Center- 837 Asilomar Avenue Pacific Grove.
