Urge Congress To Support The Sport Fish Restoration and Boating Trust Fund

The Sport Fish Restoration and Boating Trust Fund (Trust Fund) will expire at the end of this year if congress doesn’t take action. The trust is a voluntary user fee system that collects revenue from motorboat fuel, fishing equipment, and recreational boating and fishing fees. The $650 million fund contributes to habitat restoration, boating safety and fishing education programs, better access to waterways, and more – all at no cost to taxpayers. Funds from the trust are used for the popular Boating Infrastructure Grant Program, Clean Vessel Act grants for pumpouts, and Boating Access Grants most commonly used for boat launches.
