Connecticut Marina Completes Mooring Upgrade
Published on August 26, 2021The New Fairfield Town Marina has recently completed a project to replace its mooring system. The 156-berth marina is located on Candlewood Lake, the largest lake in the state.
Hazelett Marine supplied the Dockmaster elastic mooring systems and Helix helical anchors that replaced the marina’s existing chain and block mooring system. The new moorings should improve dock performance and reduce maintenance costs.
Race Coastal Engineering of Stratford, Connecticut, provided the engineering for the project, which was commissioned by the Town of New Fairfield. Atlantic Marine Construction of Westerly, Rhode Island and Waterfront Contracting of Franklin Lakes, New Jersey managed the project.
