NMDA Announces Supplier of the Year Winners
Published on August 4, 2022Sea-Dog Line, ARCO Marine, and Meguiar’s are the winners of the 2022 National Marine Distributors Association (NMDA) Supplier of the Year awards. The awards were announced during the NMDA Awards Luncheon held July 27 during S.T.E.P. in Rosemont, Illinois.
The Diamond category was won by Sea-Dog Line. The Everett, Washington-based company, is a leading supplier of over 5,500 marine dock, deck, and rigging hardware items, 12-volt electrical/lighting, and ventilation accessories. The runner-up in this category was T-H Marine.
ARCO Marine is the winner in the Platinum category. ARCO Marine was established in 1960 and is a trusted source for high-quality alternators, inboard and outboard starts, and tilt/trim motors. The runner-up in this category is Star Brite.
In the Gold category, Meguiar’s was announced as the winner. For more than 100 years Meguiar’s has been providing cleaners, waxes, and polishes. Their ongoing research and development help keep them at the forefront of offering protection for all things from cars to RVs to boats. The gold category runner-up is C.E. Smith.
Special Focus awards in each category were also presented. These awards are scored by adding together the categories that are appropriate and are awarded to the company that scored the highest in each category, which included Best All Around Packaging, Marketing Philosophy, and Supply Chain Standards Efficiency. Sea-Dog Line was the Diamond Award winner across all three categories, while Meguiar’s, C.E. Smith, ARCO, Star Brite, and Gold Eagle shared the Platinum and Gold positions.
The wholesale distributor members of NMDA have voted annually since 1972 to recognize their top suppliers for overall excellence in supply chain management, marketing, packaging & shipping, and customer service.
