Two Brunswick Brands Partner with Shake-A-Leg Miami

Two Brunswick Corporation brands, Freedom Boat Club and Seachoice, have partnered with Shake-A-Leg Miami (SALM) to make sizable donations in support of the organization’s summer water camp, which empowers youth of all abilities and economic backgrounds to improve their health, education, and independence in an inclusive setting.

Kevin Seelig, Freedom Boat Club of Northeast Florida co-owner and longtime supporter of SALM donated a 2021 Sweetwater 2286 Tritoon boat powered by a Mercury Marine 150HP outboard engine. Seelig has been connected to the organization since he was 10 years old initially starting out as a sponsored camper, then becoming a volunteer, and ultimately an employee.

Additionally, Seachoice joined in on the opportunity to support the cause by fulfilling SALM’s summer wish list donating more than $25,000 of boat supplies, including 300 Seachoice life jackets, boat cleaning supplies, and more to support safety on the water.

The cross-team efforts are part of Brunswick’s All Blue Planet initiative, a global initiative focused on inspiring broader communities to pursue the restorative power of water through educational programming, events and collaborations. Seelig and representatives from Freedom Boat Club, Land ‘N’ Sea and Seachoice were onsite at SALM to interact with the campers, share their personal stories and celebrate the donations to make for an unforgettable summer on the water for SALM’s 300+ campers this year.
