Boat Fix Announces Boat Fix Pro Mobile App
Published on November 27, 2023Boat Fix, a recreational boating telematics company that provides customized solutions for the boating industry through a combination of remote monitoring, GPS tracking, and geofencing –backed by 24/7 live customer support has announced its upgraded Boat Fix Pro app.
The Boat Fix Pro app features include updated NOAA charts offering navigational marks and automatic location-based weather warning pop-ups that include Small Craft Advisories, dense fog, and severe thunderstorms with lightning advisories, as well as storm and hurricane warnings. Current weather is backed up on the app with a seven-day weather forecast.
The Status page provides a remote overview check of the health of the boat while the Protect Mode’s geofenced security capabilities prompt a telephone call to the boat owner if there is an unauthorized breach within the geofence area, whether on land or in the water.
Remote battery voltage monitoring offers three separate alarms; ultra-low, low-, and now high-voltage where that critical issue can lead to not only rapid degradation of battery life, but ultimately fire and explosion.
The new Boat Fix app includes safety checklists of U.S. Coast Guard required equipment and will send users calendar reminders for when to replace fire extinguishers and flares and ensure that the correct number of lifejackets are onboard. In addition, it includes a checklist for essential tasks boat owners should take before they leave the dock and upon their return.
The status of the vessel is monitored by the Boat Fix 24/7 Command & Control Center, a team of professional boating advisors, who immediately respond to the press of the Contact button, or to voice, text, email, or two-way video chat. The 24/7 mechanical helpline ensures boaters have immediate technical assistance over the phone for engine or other breakdown issues on the water. The 24/7 Boat Fix Command & Control Center also monitors unauthorized use and boat-theft prevention with direct lines to law enforcement.
