Maryland Recertified Clean Marinas

The Maryland Clean Marina Initiative announced that the following Maryland marinas were successfully recertified this fall for another three years:

• · Ocean Pines Marina, Berlin
• · Shad Landing at Pocomoke State Park
• · Magothy Marina, Severna Park
• · Horn Point Harbor, Annapolis

Recertification visits are similar to first-time inspections. A complete site visit is conducted, and all required reports and plans are verified by program staff.

Marinas and boatyards are located at the water’s edge and can make a big difference in local water quality if they adopt pollution prevention measures.
