Marine Trades Association of New Jersey Elects Board of Directors
Published on April 30, 2018The Marine Trades Association of New Jersey (MTA/NJ) has announced its 2018-2019 officers and directors. Elections were held during the association’s annual dinner on April 19. There was no change in officers this year with Jim Cerruti of Fair Haven Yacht Works continuing his term as president; Ed McCarthy of McCarthy’s Marine Sales remaining first vice president; and Brian Fischer of MESCO continuing as Second Vice President; Ed Harrison, III of Baywood Marina remains the treasurer; and Raymond Bogan of Sinn, Fitzsimmons, Cantoli, Bogan, West & Steuerman stays on as secretary.
The following directors were re-elected to serve another three- year term: Rick Castellini of Marine Max Island Marine Center, Ray Fernandez of Bridge Marina, Inc., Eric Traber of Pier 47 Marina, Aaron Held of Octopus Yachts: Marine Electrical Systems, and Greg Wright of John B. Wright Insurance. Mark Cassidy of Cassidy’s Breton Woods Marina, George Fuller of George Fuller’s Marine & Machine, Karen Gruppuso of Coastal Environmental Consulting, LLC, Pat Salinas of Morgan Marina, and Debbie Mooers of Grassy Sound Marina will continue their terms as directors. The following past presidents will also continue to serve on the board: Don Ditzel of Comstock Yacht Sales & Marina, Fred Brueggemann of Key Harbor Marina & Yacht Sales, Ed Harrison, Jr. of Baywood Marina, Tom Leaming of Leamings Marina, Paul Terzian of Causeway Marine Sales, and Rick Traber of Pier 47 Marina.
The Regional Board of Governors includes Pat Salinas representing the Northern Region, Tom Leaming representing the Central Region, Rick Traber representing the Southern Region, and Ray Fernandez representing the Lake Hopatcong Region.
The MTA/NJ also held its Sponsor of the Year Awards at the Annual Dinner. The MTA/NJ established this award 14 years ago to show its appreciation and to recognize the leading sponsors and supporters of the association. The Top Sponsor of the Year awards went to: Interlux Yacht Finishes of Union, John B. Wright Insurance with offices in Waretown and Manasquan, and Travelers Ocean Marine of Edison.
