ABBRA Offers New “Step Up to Supervisor” Course

The American Boat Builders and Repairers AssociationMaine (ABBRA) in coordination with Maine Marine Trades Association is offering new two-day course, “Step Up to Supervisor.” The class will be held March 6 to 7 at the Rockland Career Center in Rockland, Maine.

The course is designed for staff in the maritime industry who are transitioning to supervisor positions, going from colleague to boss. Topics covered at the training will include: communication, time management, financial management, establishing goals, project planning, delegation, mentoring, team building and motivation, setting boundaries, cost controls, inventory controls, providing performance feedback and compliance issues.
