Brady Mountain Marina Replaces Docks
Published on October 16, 2018Located approximately 15 miles west of Hot Springs, Arkansas, Brady Mountain Marina is located on Lake Ouachita. While the marina’s location provides beautiful water views, it also makes it susceptible to any high winds that come across the lake.
In 2016, the marina lost two older wooden docks—located on opposite sides of the marina—due to a tornado that swept through the area. In March of this year, high winds and water caused more damage, taking out the marina’s rental dock.
MariCorp U.S. replaced all three docks with galvanized steel floating docks. The first two were reopened on the Fourth of July weekend in 2017; the guest dock was ready on that same weekend a year later. MariCorp designed, built and installed the covered slips.
According to Steve Anderson, Brady Mountain Marina’s manager, the full-service marina features 650-plus permanent wet slips—many covered—that can accommodate everything from 25-foot sailboats to 100-foot covered slips. It also offers a ship store and a land-based camp store.
