The Coast Guard Foundation, a non-profit organization committed to strengthening the Coast Guard community and service by supporting members and families, announced today it has kicked off its 2022 scholarship season. Accepting applications from February 1 through March 15, children of Coast Guard members may apply for annual scholarships ranging from $1,000 to $5,000 to fund undergraduate education or training at accredited technical schools. Scholarships are available to children of Coast Guard members who are active duty, active-duty reserve and retired.

All scholarship applicants must use the online application hosted by the Coast Guard Foundation. Interested college-aged children of Coast Guard members should check eligibility guidelines at coastguardfoundation.org/apply.

During the last five years, the Coast Guard Foundation has awarded an average of well over $400,000 in scholarships annually. In the 30 years of the program, the Coast Guard Foundation has awarded scholarships totaling $6 million to more than 1,500 college-aged young adults.

“We are proud of our more than three decades of supporting Coast Guard kids through our scholarship program,” said Susan Ludwig, president, Coast Guard Foundation. “College is expensive, and we are truly honored to partner with our very generous supporters to help ease that burden for so many deserving Coast Guard families.”
