Complete Renovation of British Columbia Marina

IMFS International Marine Floatation Systems, Ltd. is currently replacing Fairwinds Marina in Nanoose Bay, British Columbia. The full-service, 300-slip marina can accommodate vessels 25 feet to 150 feet in length. The marina has potable water at every slip, a fuel dock with gas and diesel, restrooms and showers, free laundry and complimentary shuttle service to the Fairwinds Golf Club. Phase 1 of the three-phase project was completed in March. The next phase, which includes the removal of the old docks and installation of the new IMFS system, is scheduled to begin in January 2025. The IMFS Hybrid System, which has one-piece structural fingers 50 feet to 80 feet in length, along with Torque Tube fingers that are 3 by 35 –feet, is made of galvanized steel frames, Trex decking and HDPE billets for floatation. The IMFS system has main docks that are one-piece structural concrete up to 70 feet in length with the IMFS rubber block and bolt connecting system, which allows for easy, 20-minute connections of the main walkways and concrete fingers.
