Dissen & Juhn Wins Excellence Award for Port of Chestertown Project
Published on December 9, 2019The Chesapeake Shores Chapter of Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) honored Dissen & Juhn Company at its Excellence in Construction & Safety Awards ceremony. Dissen & Juhn Company won the Merit Award in the Special Projects category for $2 Million to $100 Million for the Port of Chestertown Redevelopment project.
“Last year, the firm took home an ABC Excellence Award for Design/Build for Marina Replacement & Dredging project at Harbor East Marina in Baltimore. And the year before we won two Excellence Awards for Riverfront Redevelopment Pier project at the City of New Castle, Delaware, and the Stevenson University Pedestrian Bridge on Owings Mills, Maryland,” Gil Dissen, president of the Dissen & Juhn Company, said. “The Chestertown Marina project and the acknowledgement the firm gets through awards and recognitions are humbling and a testament to the skill and commitment of the Dissen & Juhn crews and staff,” he adds.

The Excellence in Construction Awards recognizes outstanding construction projects completed by ABC Chesapeake Shores’ member firms. The awards competition serves to raise the level of construction standards throughout the industry by recognizing the workmanship of those who contribute and by showcasing the results of their dedication. In all, 6 Merit Awards, 20 Excellence Awards, and 36 Safety Awards were bestowed at the awards ceremony.
