Flag Harbor Marine Services Under New Ownership

Flag Harbor Marine Services sold to Flag Harbor LLC (Megan and Wayne Gessford, Kelly Steward, Josh Davidson) on October 20. “This was a unique opportunity to purchase a long-running profitable full-service boatyard in an idyllic setting on the western shore of Chesapeake Bay,” said Simply Marinas National Director George Ash. The boatyard is situated in a sheltered harbor within an hour’s drive from Washington, D.C. and Annapolis, Maryland.

The St. Leonard, Maryland facility offers boat storage, haul and launch, as well as rigging, service, and repair. The boatyard includes a lift well and an adjacent wet slip, an enclosed workshop, and two smaller buildings used as office and storage space. Ash said the nine-acre site includes excess land that could be used to build a marina-view residence or expand the land-side storage. The boatyard also owns 17 boat slips in the neighboring dockominium, Flag Harbor Yacht Haven, that are rented out to generate additional income.
