Foundations Seek Support On Giving Tuesday

The BoatUS Foundation and the U.S. Coast Guard Foundation are asking people to consider a gift to their respective organizations as part of Giving Tuesday– a global generosity movement  that kicks off December 1 and continues into the new year.

A donation to the BoatUS Foundation’s B.O.A.T- Bringing On Another Thousand fundraiser will help to put more than 140,000 children in lifejackets under the Kids Life Jacket Loaner program and be used to educate more than 240,000 boaters each year through free online boating safety courses. Donations will also go towards programs to help keep marine debris out of waterways, the EPIRB rental and fishing line recycling programs and much more.

The Coast Guard Foundation is partnering with GEICO to offer a matching gift challenge. Every donation the foundation receives to strengthen its support for Coast Guard members and families will be matched on December 1.
