Hall of Fame Marina Fundraising for Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School
Published on April 2, 2018Hall of Fame Marina in Fort Lauderdale is dedicating its National Marina Day this year to the students from Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, the site of February’s school shooting. Cadets from the school’s Junior Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (JROTC) program will join local Nautical Scouts and Cub Scouts for a morning cruise aboard the “Spirit of Lauderdale,” where they will meet a U.S. Coast Guard vessel to watch life saving drills. On land, the group will have lunch with members of the Coast Guard and local fire department and have an opportunity to tour a fire boat and see a water cannon.
Hall of Fame is seeking sponsors for this event. A sponsorship of $100 will include a banner area, two lunch passes, ten raffle tickets and a listing of company sponsorship in all promotional material. The marina is also accepting donations. All sponsor and donation money will be given directly to the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School. For more information contact marina manager, Scott Salomon at hfmarinascott@bellsouth.net or (954) 764-3975.
