Holden Beach Marina Sells to Confidential Buyer

The Simply Marinas team recently brokered the sale of Holden Beach Marina in Holden Beach, North Carolina. The team represented both the buyer and seller. The offering was confidential at the request of the seller. It went under agreement within weeks, before wider marketing, to a marina buyer in the Simply Marinas Network. 

The marina, located on North Carolina’s Intracoastal Waterway, offers quick, unencumbered access to the Atlantic Ocean. It sits on approximately 7.91 gross fee simple acres (2.65+/- acres upland & 5.26 acres wetland/marshland) and offers 254 dry rack slips and 28+/- wet slips at near 100% occupancy with a waitlist. The new owner can benefit from incremental rate increases, as the facility is currently and historically at full occupancy. Converting the open-air racks to covered or enclosed racks will bring an additional premium on rents. Additionally, a boat rental fleet can be introduced.

The full-service marina also features a parts and service department, along with a fuel dock, and a captain’s club.
