MA Celebrates KIDS Boating & Fishing Week
Published on June 3, 2019The third annual “Massachusetts KIDS Boating & Fishing week” will take place from June 1 to 9 with a couple events taking place the weekend of June 15 as well. This event encourages and promotes youth boating and fishing activities around the state of Massachusetts. The Massachusetts Marine Trades Association promotes the various events and reports that nine facilities are participating this year, including:
Touch a Boat events at Newbury Waterfront, Pier 8, Nantucket Boat Basin, Constitution Marina and Brunelle’s Marina; fishing events at West Marine, Queen Sewell and Turkey Hill Road; and Lakeside Kids’ Event at Memorial Beach.
The dates of Massachusetts Kids Boating & Fishing week coincide with Great Outdoors Month and National Fishing and Boating week to further the reach and promotion for all activities. One of the key objectives for Massachusetts KIDS Boating & Fishing week events is to highlight what boating and fishing industry organizations and businesses offer the kids and to introduce news boaters to the water.
