METSTRADE Opens Today

METSTRADE Show opened today at the RAI Amsterdam convention center in Amsterdam with nearly 1,600 exhibitors from 50 different countries including 237 new exhibitors this year. Thousands of visitors from the recreational marine industry are expected to attend the events, which feature an extensive exhibit hall, networking events, knowledge exchange nights, awards and educational sessions.

Partner events were held over the weekend by The Superyacht Forum and the HISWA Symposium on Yacht Design and Construction.

The newly extended Construction Material Pavilion includes round table sessions on materials and methodologies and rapid prototyping and 3D printing plus the Material District pop-up on the theme of ‘New Luxury.’ Also increasing in size and scope is the E-nnovationLAB platform for electric propulsion technology, which will have 12 different stands and 11 showcase displays. There will also be a new E-Lab stage where the revolutionary products in this part of the show will showcased.

The METSTRADE Show officially opened with the traditional Breakfast Briefing and DAME Design Award ceremony, including a keynote speech by Bénéteau CEO Hervé Gastinel.

METSTRADE is organized by RAI Amsterdam in association with the International Council of Marine Industry Associations. It runs through Thursday, November 15.
