Michigan Clean Marina to Hold Workshops This Spring

The Michigan Clean Marina Program is taking its online classroom on the road this spring, conducting in-person workshops on classroom lessons and best practices of the Clean Marina program. Michigan Sea Grant staff and Clean Marina certification specialists will conduct the training, which will provide the opportunity for marina staff to learn best management practices, achieve classroom certification and schedule certification site visits. In addition, the Michigan Clean Marina Program will solicit feedback about the current online classroom and resources, as well as the certification process itself. The Michigan Clean Marina Program is a voluntary certification program that encourages environmentally friendly marina design, maintenance and boat handling practices.

Workshops will be held at the Petoskey Winter Sports Park on March 14, Lake St. Clair Metropark Thomas Welsh Activity Center on March 27 and Northside Marina in Holland on April 4. To register click here
