MN Clean Marina Board Meets

The Minnesota Clean Marina Board of Directors met January 11 to review their current status and strategize for the coming year. The meeting was lead by current President Roxanne Rockvam of Rockvam Boat Yards.

The group agreed to hold their second annual “Fast Track” workshop, tentatively March 14 in Duluth, Minnesota. The workshop is aimed at helping marinas work through the guidelines and checklist of the Clean Marina program, so they can schedule a site-visit and obtain their certification. Last year’s workshop resulted in five new marinas being certified. The board also adopted changes to their program relating to new state regulations for recycling. Finally, they elected Jeremy Kasapidis, general manager of Silver Bay Marina in Silver Bay to the board of directors.
