MRA Offers “Introduction to Basic Marina Operations” Seminar

To kick-off its Annual Education Conference & Trade Show, the Marine Recreation Association (MRA) is holding a one-day, two session seminar, “Introduction to Basic Marina Operations.” The course is designed to enhance basic industry knowledge and proficiency for new marine industry professionals.

Held October 22, the seminar will be split into two sessions. The first, lead by Jeremy Grewal from Safe Harbor Marina, will cover administrative practices, strategies for effective leasing, contract and risk management practices, and positive customer service. Larry Halgren from Halgren 7 Associates will lead the second session on safety and maintenance. Halgren will discuss inspection practices and emergency management planning to improve safety and operations at a marina. Each session will be followed by Q&A.

The 2018, 47th Annual MRA Educational Conference & Trade Show will run from October 22 to 24 and include more than 30 educational seminars and special presentations, and a trade show featuring more than 50 industry vendors and services.
