New Marina Planned for Lake Lewisville, Texas
Published on January 13, 2025Suntex has been contracted to develop The Tribute Marina located within the master planned community known as The Tribute along the eastern shoreline of Lake Lewisville, on Wynnewood Peninsula in The Colony, Texas. The marina is designed to include 801 slips and a floating structure with retail and food venues. Floating docks totaling 26,242 linear feet will welcome boats up to 60 feet in length. The marina will be a member of the Suntex Marina Boat Club, joining the nearby Hidden Cove Marina in Suntex’s portfolio and offering rentals through their membership program. Upland features of the park will include sand volleyball courts, restrooms and a green space, among other features.
A ceremonial groundbreaking for the facility took place in December. “The Tribute Marina & Park is a transformative project for The Colony, symbolizing a new chapter in lakeside living,” said Richard Boyer, mayor of The Colony, during the ceremony. “This collaboration with developer Matthews Southwest and Suntex Marinas exemplifies our commitment to providing exceptional recreational and community amenities. We are thrilled to see this vision come to life, enhancing access to Lewisville Lake’s beauty and opportunities for all our residents.”
The Tribute community encompasses approximately 1,600 acres and, once complete, will include close to 3,000 single family homes, a town center and various other amenities. More than 2,200 single family homes have been built and sold to date.
