Newport, California Marina Completes Renovations

Renovations are complete at Dover Bay Shore Marina in Newport, California. The marina, located in Newport Harbor, was in need of an upgrade after years of service. Bellingham Marine replaced an antiquated docking system with 50 new slips, as well as an ADA-compliant switchback gangway ramp system providing access to the piers. “The project was a slight increase in slip count,” said Bryce Fisher, manager of Project Development at Bellingham Marine. “Its purpose was to increase the slip sizes and provide a modern updated marina to replace the existing facility.”

The new slips are state-of-the-art with ADA access, electrical, water, fire-water system, Wi-Fi, and a security system. The marina also installed a new transformer to increase power to the marina and office. The power upgrade also prepared the site for future construction of land-based electrical vehicle chargers. The project began in January 2022 and took four months to complete.
