Palm Beach Marina Opens After Major Renovations

In operation since the 1940s, the Palm Beach Marina has recently received state-of-the-art upgrades that bring it to the forefront of today’s luxury yachting industry. The ribbon cutting commenced as planned on November 1, 2021 and now the first-class marina is at 95% occupancy with a waiting list in the works for the spaces that remain. The three original docks Australian, Brazilian, and Peruvian, named after popular Palm Beach avenues, have since been replaced by Bellingham concrete floating dock systems and are now joined by the new 250-foot Royal Palm dock. With a total of 84 slips, the facility can now welcome vessels of greater size and number. Before the $40 million renovations, the marina could accommodate one vessel greater than 200 feet while today it can hold up to 10 yachts of this size. The newly constructed T-frame on the Australian dock allows for a super yacht of up to 294 feet.

The upgrades provide all the luxury of a first-class marina including wider and deeper slips for super yachts, expanded shore power with up to 480 volt 3-phase 200amps, high-capacity in-slip pumpout, shower facilities and lounge, high-speed WiFi, and increased number of first-class staff. The new state-of-the-art security system includes a new cross-campus security camera network and secured parking lot access through a password protected smart phone app. Boat side trash pickup is available several times a day and select golf carts have been allotted to transport luggage along the docks. “Many of our customers are residents of Palm Beach and they are so pleased to have a wonderful marina in their backyard,” said dockmaster Mike Horn. “We want to be everyone’s favorite marina.”

Members of the marina also receive access to luxury amenities and facilities such as the Palm Beach Par 3 golf course, Seaview and Phipps Ocean Park Tennis Center and the Mandel Recreation Center. “The most exciting piece of this project is simply that the Town recognized the importance and value that a state-of-the-art super yacht marina would add to the Palm Beach experience,” Horn said.
