Pier Construction
Published on March 6, 2018Dissen & Juhn Company developed a new pier to show off its capabilities in the pier construction sector. The pier extends 174 feet out into the Delaware River and features a 100-foot T-head. The company used steel to construct the pier’s frame, which lends itself to being prefabricated. The panels were prefabricated and galvanized at the supplier, trucked to the job site and then installed with a floating crane. Constructing piers this way saves time, according to the company.
