Preferred Payments Partners with Stellar IMS

Preferred Payments—whose payment platforms streamline complex fiscal management for the recreational marine industry—announces a strategic partnership with online booking software, Stellar IMS. Together, the alliance is designed for U.S. marinas to grow loyalty among customers.

Since its launch in 2008, Stellar IMS has experienced rapid growth as a leading provider of inventory management systems specifically intended for the marina industry. With the Preferred Payment partnership, these systems are augmented, allowing for payment features that let marinas focus more on scaling their operations and less on payment related tasks like key-entering credit card information and hunting down past due payments.

Stellar IMS has integrated its platform with Preferred Payments to provide users an easier way to manage transactions, recurring billing, secure credit card storage, EMV functionality, access financial reporting and improve customer data security.

A new feature called Automatic Card Updater (ACU) has been designed expressly for marina customer loyalty. ACU automatically updates expired credit card numbers in the Stellar IMS platform. Customers setup with recurring billing will continue their ongoing payment cycle without interruption. Marina owners deploying Automatic Card Updater also lessen the need for debt collection services.
