Seaflex Turns 30

Founded in 1987, Seaflex, a leader in the flexible mooring industry, is celebrating its 30th anniversary. The two-person, garage-based business has become an international company, installing its products worldwide and also participating in several studies including for the EU and Norway.

When Seaflex opened, moorings were either chain or piles, but the industry has changed, and Seaflex has evolved to introduce items such as its patented Bypass system and titanium-hybrid models. The company is also seeing an increased interest in using moorings for unique structures, such as underwater hotels, seaplane terminals, floating ferry terminals and neighborhoods on the water.

“We hope that Seaflex will be around for another 30 years, with even more innovation, new products, new markets and more amazing projects all around the world,” said Lars Brandt, CEO of Seaflex.
