Simply Marinas Brokers Sale of Port Charles Harbor

The Simply Marinas team brokered the sale of Port Charles Harbor in Missouri. The team represented both parties. The offering was handled confidentially at the seller’s request.

The marina has a strategic advantage as the major stopover for boats traveling south for the winter and north in the spring, and for the boaters doing America’s Great Loop Circle. It is an established success story spanning over three generations.

It sits on 21.5 acres and has 105 slips, a complete service department, and an RV site. The acquisition also came with valuable upside by adding both wet slips and boat storage. Ownership had a permit with the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers to excavate and expand the harbor by 30+/- slips and the sellers had already begun excavation towards this slip expansion.

The expansion potential fit the criteria of the buyer who was a long-term client of Simply Marinas. During the due diligence period, the buyer and seller, with help from the Simply Marinas team, cooperated on working toward this expansion successfully.
