Suntex Acquires Oak Bottom Marina
Published on July 17, 2018Suntex Marina Investors, LLC (Suntex), has added another California property, Oak Bottom Marina, to its growing portfolio. The marina is located on Whiskeytown Lake in Whiskeytown National Recreation Area. The property includes 94 walk-in tent sites and 22 RV/trailer sites, along with a boat ramp and rentals of pontoons, fishing boats, deck cruisers and party barges. Visitors can boat, fish, water ski, camp, hike, mountain bike or horseback ride.
The lake is in the Whiskeytown Unit of the Whiskeytown-Shasta Trinity National Recreation Area. It is formed by Whiskeytown Dam on Clear Creek and water coming from Lewiston Reservoir, supplied by the Trinity River, via the Clear Creek Tunnel. The 39,000 acres surrounding the lake hold four waterfalls, mountain creeks, 70 miles of trails, and opportunities to explore the history of the California Gold Rush.
This acquisition brings the Suntex portfolio to 46 marinas located in California, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Kentucky, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Oklahoma, Texas, Tennessee and Virginia.
