The 29th IBEX is Underway

The 29th International BoatBuilders’ Exhibition and Conference (IBEX) is underway at the Tampa Convention Center in Tampa, Florida. The event features three exhibit halls with more than 700 exhibitors from 24 different countries, four Product Pavilions, five Country Pavilions, and a variety of educational and entertainment opportunities.

First and second floor exhibit halls are open from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday and Wednesday, October 1 and 2, and 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 3. Third floor exhibit halls are open from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday and Wednesday, and 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. This year’s pavilions include the Marina & Yard on the first floor; and on the third floor the Compliance, Standards and Education; Composites; and the National Marine Electronics Association (NMEA) Connected Boat Experience. There are also International Pavilions from Australia, France, Italy, Slovenia and South Korea, and 30 boats on the IBEX docks.

Live and ongoing activities include Designer Row, Innovation Way, the Electronics Pavilion NMEA Connected Boat Experience, Kiosk Challenges, and the IBEX Docks and Outdoor Exhibits. In addition, visitors can enjoy education sessions, panel discussions, networking and social events. Super Sessions offering eight options for comprehensive, full and half-day courses in topics ranging from Challenges and Solutions in Workforce Development to Fiberglass Boat Repair were held on Monday and Tuesday. Throughout IBEX, visitors can attend 13 free Tech Talk workshops presented by over two dozen exhibiting companies.
