The Gowrie Group Announces Sponsorship of Environmental Conference

The Gowrie Group, an independent insurance agency, has announced its sponsorship of the 2020 Southern New England Marine Industry Environmental Conference, which is being hosted by Rhode Island Marine Trades (RIMTA), Connecticut Marine Trades Association (CMTA) and Massachusetts Marine Trades Association (MMTA).

The 2020 Southern New England Marine Industry Environmental Conference will provide marine businesses and marine professionals with an opportunity to discuss and share their perspectives on critical topics related to the environment, marine products and recreational boating. The future of our marine environment in New England depends on this type of open communication and collaboration toward collective sustainable action.

At the conference, Kellie Crete, Gowrie’s safety and loss control coordinator, will present an interactive seminar on “Building a Culture of Compliance.” Crete will discuss how focused attention on employee actions and workplace culture can generate a meaningful difference in environmental impact. Crete will present a visual “field trip,” which will highlight common compliance difficulty areas followed with a discussion on potential remedies to these regulatory issues and practical ways that marine businesses can positively support the environment.
